Disciples II: Dark Prophecy
PC
developed by STRATEGY FIRST

Disciples II: Dark Prophecy returns you to the magical realm of the Sacred Lands where four races - the Empire, the Mountain Clans, the Legions of the Damned and the Undead Hordes - continue the battle for the destiny of their Gods.

The struggle to bring order to a tormented world continues with a new and evolving story.

Showcasing new graphics, supporting 800 x 600 16-bit resolution, over 200 engaging characters will come to life in an epic battle. With enhanced gameplay mechanics, improved AI, and an upgraded battle system, Disciples II: Dark Prophecy promises to provide the answer to the ultimate question:Who among them will survive?

Disciples II: Dark Prophecy, like its predecessor, is a turn-based RPS game that pits four races - the Empire, the Mountain Clans, the Legions of the Damned and the Undead Hordes - against each other in a battle for control of the Sacred Lands.

Unlimited Upgrade for Leaders and Units. After the Maximum upgrade has been reached, units will continue to gain experience and have certain attributes upgraded.

Complete rework of all artwork. All of the artwork found in the game, including the leader and unit portraits as well as all of the terrain and capitals have been redrawn and are more dramatic in the sequel.

Events and triggers have been added. By introducing the event and trigger system into the game it allows for more dynamic gameplay, where neutral parties will also take turns and even attack your characters depending on their AI state.

New battle attacks. This will mean an increase in the combat strategy for Dark Prophecy.

The Leaders can be equipped with more items. In Dark Prophecy, Leaders will benefit from being equipped with up to 7 items at a time; 5 items to increase a character’s attributes and 2 items to be used during combat.

Different objectives for each race. Each race will have specific objectives during the course of their quests. This will allow you to have a different and individual adventure for each race adding to the replay value of each quest.

New unit and leader abilities. Both units and leaders will now have new additional abilities including combat abilities like Summon and Transform.

Hot-seat in multiplayer. You asked for it, you got it! This feature will allow several individuals to play Disciples II on the same computer.

New higher resolution. (800x600 in 16 bit color) The new redrawn artwork in Dark Prophecy will jump off the screen in the higher resolution and will make the game come to life. If you liked the art in Disciples, just wait and see what an increase in the resolution does in Disciples II!

50 new units. (For a total of 200 units) Each of the races now has 50% more units to discover as your units move along their upgrade paths.

New in game spells. (Which means over 100 spells in Dark Prophecy) Dark Prophecy includes all new spells and has updated the animation of all the existing spells. Casting a spell will take on a whole new look in this sequel.

Sagas (campaigns) will contain at least 7 quests (scenarios) each. There will be a total of 28 quests in all for Dark Prophecy. Each saga (campaign) is distinct for each race and each campaign is considerably larger in the sequel.

Over 20 standalone Quests. This is twice as many than the previous game and will increase in number, as the game gets closer to completion.

Full screen combat. When combat occurs in Dark Prophecy, the entire screen will be your battlefield. You won’t be restricted to a small battle window.

Combat controls have been updated. During combat you’ll be able to click on the individual units as well as their portraits on the interface, allowing you more control within the battle screen.

Leader will be able to use items in battle in addition to their regular attacks. Allowing the Leaders to use equipped items during combat will change the battle strategy and will open the combat to more dramatic confrontations.

A Paper Doll interface. You will be able to equip your Leaders using the intuitive ‘Paper Doll’ interface added to Dark Prophecy. This will open up more strategic character building within the game.
